Egroup has made a decission in its last BOD meeting that 5% of the annual profits will go to the Association "Friends of children's shelter" a non profitable organisation...please read further message in Greek... « Οι Φίλοι της Παιδικής Στέγης Λευκωσίας» είναι ένας Σύνδεσμος που ιδρύθηκε τον Ιούνιο του 2004 με σκοπό να συνεργαστεί και να συμπαρασταθεί στο Επαρχιακό Γραφείο Ευημερίας Λευκωσίας το οποίο είναι υπεύθυνο για την λειτουργία της Παιδικής Στέγης.   Στην Στέγη διαμένουν παιδιά ηλικίας μεταξύ 4 και 12 χρόνων τα οποία βρίσκονται  κάτω από την προστασία του Κράτους. Τα παιδιά, λόγω των δύσκολων συνθηκών στη ζωή τους, πριν τύχουν της φροντίδας του Γραφείου Ευημερίας, παρουσιάζουν ελλείψεις στα θέματα εκπαίδευσης τους, συναισθηματικής σταθερότητας τους και ένταξης τους στο κοινωνικό σύνολο.   Οι βασικοί στόχοι του Συνδέσμου μας είναι:   ·          Η παροχή κάθε δυνατής βοήθειας και υποστήριξης ηθικής, οικονομικής, ψυχολογικής σε όλα τα παιδιά ε   ·          Η κάλυψη των εκπαιδευτικών ελλείψεων με εξειδικευμένη και προσωπική διδασκαλία ανάλογα με τις ανάγκες του κάθε παιδιού   ·          Η δημιουργική απασχόληση των παιδιών με ειδικές ανάγκες που διαμένουν στη Στέγη   ·          Η ευημερία των παιδιών περιλαμβανομένης της ψυχαγωγίας και κοινωνικής προσαρμογής    ·          Η ανάληψη κάθε δυνατής δραστηριότητας με σκοπό την ανάπτυξη και ευημερία των παιδιών, ώστε να μπορέσουν να διαδραματίσουν πληρέστερα τον ρόλο τους μέσα στην κοινωνία   ·          Η βελτίωση των κτιριακών εγκαταστάσεων και εξοπλισμού για να δημιουργήσουμε ένα ζεστό και άνετο περιβάλλον.     Για την επίτευξη των πιο πάνω στόχων ο Σύνδεσμος, μέσα από διάφορες εκδηλώσεις, καθώς και με την στήριξη του Κράτους, ιδιωτών και εταιρειών, προσπαθεί να εξασφαλίσει τα απαραίτητα έσοδα. Με τη συνεργασία και τη συμπαράσταση ανθρώπων με ευαισθησία για τα παιδιά, βρίσκουμε λύσεις και αντιμετωπίζουμε αμεσότερα και ευκολότερα τα προβλήματα που τα απασχολούν.
